FY16 Triangle TDM Program Report Released

This year's report is here on our Triangle Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Program and its impacts for the region. TDM aims to reduce reliance on single-occupancy vehicles for travel, by encouraging options such as carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, biking, walking, teleworking, and flexible work weeks.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Carmelita Karhoff Receives Howard Hinds Award

Triangle J Council of Governments and the Triangle J Area Agency  of  Aging are proud to announce Carmelita Karhoff, a Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman,  has been selected to receive the Howard Hinds Memorial Award presented by the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care. The Triangle Regional Housing Summit, held on September 20th in Cary, brought together a unique and diverse group of elected officials, regional organizations and affordable housing advocates in the community. TJCOG, along with our partners at the Federal Reserve Bank at Richmond, FDIC, and Enterprise Community Investments, hope the information provided from this event will help local communities to rethink their housing strategies, and pave the way for further regional discussions and solutions.
