Senior Employment Program
The Senior Community Service Employment Program, a job training and placement program for low-income people age 55 and older, was funded through the National Council on the Aging, Inc. and operated in Chatham, Franklin, and Lee counties by Triangle J. The program helped qualified individuals update their skills and get paid for on-the-job training.and leverage additional community services from other partner organizations.
Participants were either placed directly into employment with a business that can opt to receive 1 month of the trainees time or placed into a non-profit organization for 20 hours a week of employment/training.
