Prior to joining Triangle J in 2011, Matt spent eight years working in the field of transportation planning both as a consultant and as a local/state employee. Matt has worked on a variety of transportation and land use plans in North Carolina, Indiana, and other states, including long range transportation plans, transit and rail plans, bicycle and pedestrian plans and studies, projects plans, travel demand forecasts, land use/comprehensive plans, and development ordinances. He has also worked on the development of several national guidebooks and reference materials in the areas of congestion management, context sensitive solutions, and collaborative transportation decision making. Matt also has extensive experience with GIS and manages the GIS program at TJCOG.
- Coordinating the activities of the Triangle Area Rural Planning Organization (TARPO), which is responsible for transportation planning activities in Lee and Moore counties and the rural portions of Orange and Chatham counties.
