Regional Committees

Joint Meeting - Mayors & County Chairs

TJCOG encourages networking and idea sharing among municipal and county leaders across our region. One way we do this is by hosting joint meetings of the region’s mayors and county chairs, regularly scheduled lunchtime opportunities to explore topics of mutual interest. The group sets its own agenda, frequently inviting special guests for informal discussion. The Joint Mayors and County Chairs group typically meets on the 1st Thursday of alternating months at TJCOG; check our calendar of events to confirm dates and location.

Regional Managers Meeting

TJCOG gathers the managers from the region’s cities, towns, counties and villages to meet regularly to set their own agenda, exchange ideas and discuss the topics that matter most.  Lunch and networking at 11:30; the meeting begins at noon. The Regional Managers group is scheduled to meet at TJCOG on the 4th Tuesday of alternating months. Check our calendar of events to confirm dates and location.

Emergency Response & Security Preparedness Committee

Emergency preparedness and response by our region’s first responders is one of the most important functions of local government. Events can often cross jurisdictional boundaries, with responsibility among multiple agencies. That is why TJCOG convenes the regional Emergency Response and Security Planning Committee to help address the specific circumstances of our region. Municipal and county law enforcement and emergency responders, along with hospitals and other stakeholders gather to share information and work toward better regional coordination and improved efficiency. The Emergency Response and Security Planning Committee typically meets on a quarterly basis.

Regional Chief Information Officer (CIO) Committee

Since the beginning of 2016, TJCOG has been bringing together Chief Information Officer (CIO) representatives from local governments in the region to discuss challenges and opportunities for collaboration relating to technology. The committee is engaged regularly with TJCOG staff to identify areas of interest such as broadband access or development and emergency management.
