Each year the Board of Delegates of the Triangle J Council of Governments selects leaders from its municipal and county members to serve as officers for the seven-county regional planning organization.
Johnston County Commissioner Jeffrey Carver was recently elected chairperson of the Triangle J Council of Governments for the fiscal year 2012 – 2013. His one-year term began July 1. Carver also previously served as first vice chair, second vice chair, and secretary/treasurer of the Triangle J Board of Delegates. He also serves as a member of the FTZ # 93 Rates, Tariff & Legal Review Board and also represented Triangle J at the Joint Regional Forum and is a member of the National Association of Regional Councils Board.
Pittsboro Commissioner Pamela Baldwin, Moore County Commissioner Tim Lea, and Cary Councilor Jennifer Robinson were also elected to one-year terms as first vice chair, second vice chair, and secretary/treasurer, respectively.
