Solid Waste Consortium

The Triangle Regional Solid Waste Consortium is a newly formed partnership of city and county solid waste departments aimed at developing strategies and regional approaches in the areas of solid waste collection and disposal, recycling, biosolids, composting, yard waste, and household hazardous materials.  

TRSWC convenes bi-monthly and allows for solid waste departments to share insights, challenges, and solutions. TJCOG staff is committed to assisting the consortium by providing research and education on solid waste best practices, detailed reviews of solid waste programs, and processes to develop short and long-term strategies for Consortium members.
