Professional Experience

Kris joined TJCOG in November 2015. Her prior professional experience includes working for Orange-Person-Chatham Area Program for 14 years, most recently as Contracts Coordinator for 100+ mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse providers.  Kris has also worked with children with special needs (particularly autism) and their families as a respite care provider, tutor, and coach.  Prior to moving to North Carolina in 1992, she served as a health data consultant for health/mental health management agencies in the Washington, DC area.  Kris also works part-time at Carolina Meadows Retirement Community as the Volunteer Coordinator, teaches exercise and nutrition to kids and families, and coaches swimming for Special Olympics.



  • Coordinates CRC for Chatham and Orange Counties
  • Develops education, outreach, and marketing campaigns to inform consumers, the public, and long-term care service professionals about services available from the C-O CRC
