TJCOG Announces New Assistant Executive Director

Triangle J Council of Governments (TJCOG) Executive Director Lee Worsley has announced the appointment of Jenny Halsey to the position of Assistant Executive Director, 
a new role established through a reorganizational effort to align internal structure with external demand for service. In this role, Ms. Halsey will be responsible for management and oversight of all internal functions including human resources, finance, and general administration. 
 
“I am pleased to appoint Jenny to the role of Assistant Executive Director of TJCOG”, said Lee Worsley. “Jenny has shown spectacular leadership within the organization and with our local government members. Her leadership capabilities will serve TJCOG well and I am excited to begin working with Jenny in this capacity.”
 
Since 2019, Ms. Halsey has served as Strategy & Operations Manager, managing human resources and administration functions, and spearheading the organization’s efforts on government strategy and innovation. This included facilitation of the Regional Strategy and Innovation Network, launch of a Regional Innovation Academy for public sector employees, a strengthened facilitation and strategic planning assistance program, and the completion of TJCOG’s first strategic planning framework. Her prior roles at the organization included Local Government Consultant & HR Officer and Energy & Environment Planner. She previously working for the City of Winston-Salem and the Town of Kernersville
