The TJCOG Data Team regularly produces an array of data, information, maps, and models addressing transportation, land use, demographics, employment, and more. Staff also use Esri ArcGIS and other open-source GIS software to perform geospatial analysis, data geoprocessing, developing and managing geospatial databases, creating online as well as hard-copy maps, and developing web-based GIS Applications. Local governments can connect with the team to access existing data or contract with TJCOG to conduct new projects.

Regional GIS Program Highlights

Triangle J Council of Governments (TJCOG) has partnered with North Carolina Next Generation Network (NCNGN)* to establish a regional GIS program that is being made available to our Members.   The program would enable local jurisdictions to share in benefits of a simplified and cost-effective process for procuring aerial imagery and GIS planimetric data.  The program is currently underway for 2020 with a few organizations on board this first year, with a focus now on expanding participation in the program in 2021.
