There is not a “one size fits all” model for implementation of micromobility and microtransit initiatives. Each of our local government members have special needs and face complex challenges. However, micromobility and microtransit modes are rapidly expanding to help cover “the last mile” and provide an option to communities who are often underserved by public transit, so it is important that there are adequate safety measures and infrastructure in place.
Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC) is kicking off a five-session workshop series on micromobility and microtransit between October 2023 to April 2024. We hope to bring together all relevant stakeholders in a collaborative setting to foster a more comprehensive understanding of micromobility and microtransit and the implications of these modes on a state and regional level.
This workshop series will be an opportunity to consider the expertise of industry leaders, public officials, and planners to make informed decisions for your community based on lessons learned from others. All workshops will take place in-person at CPRC’s renovated office space. The workshops build on each other, with different core stakeholders sharing insights and leading the discussion each session. We recommend you join us for every session to gain the most comprehensive understanding of micromobility and microtransit.
